Still no further ahead. Suffering from a cold still. Back to work tomorrow (the day this strip goes live). Decided not to risk sweating all over the page and did this one entirely on the Cintiq using Corel Painter SketchPad, Corel PhotoPaint (to touch up learning errors), and CorelDraw to pull it all together (as usual).
