My local paper is having all its editing and production outsourced to New Zealand. You can guess how happy everyone in town is with that. It's a strong performing paper, which can't be said of the flagship paper of the idiots making the decisions. I suspect that it will start to lose money when locals stop buying it in protest. How can Fairfax make such stupid decisions over the Newcastle Herald and the Illawarra Mercury? End of financial year bonuses for the execs, perhaps?
