Professor Vessant: It's a Small World

I actually agree with Fritz on this, in a round about way. As the world has become more connected, we're all happy to chew up irreplaceable fossil fuels to travel across town each day, to the capital city regularly, across country all too often, and between countries without little thought of the consequences of filling the atmosphere with toxic waste from our travels. Although the world has remained the same size, it feels smaller, and we assume that makes it okay to treat the whole planet like we have a right to do what we want with it. Perhaps if we thought a little more locally, we'd have a planet left for future generations. Happy 100th Professor F.R. Vessant.
