Ahh… Chilli Crab. I've been looking forward to doing this storyline for awhile now… it's not necessarily the funniest around, but it is one that is close to my heart, and I'm really excited about finally having it in a completed form like this :)

Anna should have had her arms crossed in the second panel or something, to mix it up a bit, but I was being lazy and using the cutting and pasting.

One of the biggest challenges for me when doing DEV would have to be the dialogue - trying to get it to read well while fitting within the fairly limited amount of space I have to work with can be difficult, especially when you throw the clunky speech balloon method I use into the mix as well. This particular comic was a bit more of a headache than the last couple have been , because I had quite a bit of text that needed to be slotted in.

There was also supposed to be an extra sight gag in this one, involving two customers reading a menu to the right hand side, but given the extra space on the left for Grommet to appear in, it just made the comic seem to cluttered, so I cut it. Expect it to make an apperance in a latter cafe based comic, though (why let it go to waste, huh?)
