Filler week begins with… this!

I'm going for a bit more subtle a reference with this one. More along the lines of my "Batman & Robin" parody (that was never even close to identified as such) in that it's more trying to incorporate elements of the work in question into references to Don Josh, rather than having Don Josh folks essentially dress up as other characters. Or maybe I'm just splitting hairs and there is no difference, and I'm just being pretentious or something.

In fairness, it's really two comics in one rather than one large comic, but meh. The work I'm referencing, when shown in anthology collections, typically has two four-panel comics per page anyway… so… umm… I'm referencing that? Sure, why not?

Another hint, the work referenced is an anime and manga series.

Not a huge fan of anime in general, but there are a good number of them I have fond memories of.
