I suppose it's more a high school thing than a university thing, but during my time on my high school's student council, I swear, EVERY TIME someone had to do some thankless chore or some such, this was how that person was picked. EVERY TIME.

Well, except that we had to touch our noses instead of raise our hands, but… well…
