My redesign of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. I'm a sucker for twin superheroes, so I had a lot of fun with these. The notion for Wanda was to bring out her heritage, both Eastern European and as daughter (and to my mind, heir) of Magneto. Their headgear…. his helmet and her headdress…. always struck me as sort of barbarian crowns. For Pietro, I drew from the man who has worn two of comics' best costumes, Wally West. The color scheme comes from both the green and light blue versions of Quicksilver's classic costume, and I tossed in a little yellow for the Whizzer. And by the way, yes. You may snicker at that.
