Now who could this be?
So yes, we get out first look at one of the ascended! I'll try not to go into too much right now, but this is Cahira, who we saw briefly mentioned a few pages back, using her resources to get herself a better view than the mortals!
Also, a camera fairy! Which kind of explains where those monochromatic camera feeds we've been seeing come from. The methods they use just end up coming out that way, unlike the kind of magic the Ascended use to get full colour display from those hooded guys!
The Eyes of the Ascended are various creatures who dedicate their lives to relaying information to the Ascended, and sometimes vice versa!
But, that's about all I'm going to say for now, because honestly, I need to cut down on these author note info dumps (but really, I probably never will!)
Edit: Oh, almost forgot, Dragonkin there in the second panel! Well. the dragons may be almost gone, but some of their closer relatives are still kicking! We'll be seeing a few different types of them in due time!
