Tan would have been a master at skipping school!
So, here's where the chapter kind of shifts, after the whole deception of a tournament arc! Yeah, when I had this planned, it wasn't really supposed to take so long to get to this point, meaning there was a bit more build up than I'd have liked! Well regardless, there's still a lot more to go in this chapter!
Long ramble about minor rubbish coming up:
The doctor with the black hair here is actually a character from an old comic that I never really got much done on, other than some concepts and scripts, certain things just got gutted and re-used. That whole comic basically revolved a similar concept to this chapter, what basically amounted to fantasy wrestling mixed with a coliseum. There he was one of the main characters, basically just a grumpy half-elf who threw potions of resurrection at people, and generally had disdain for most of the combatants. Here he's not a half-elf (for reasons) and magical cure-alls aren't really a thing in this universe, but I felt like giving him a little cameo here!
Funnily enough, the other main character of that comic, who he at least tolerated, ended up serving as a basis for Tan, but this is getting long, so I'll save that for a later page!
