9-6 Somebody's Got A Case Of The Mondays...

If you could just go ahead and make your way down to the shelter, that'd be greaaat… (okay, last time I'll be referencing that film!)

A brief interlude with insignificant characters! Mostly here for lore reasons, kind of wanted to show some ordinary citizens at some point and how they deal with the type of things that go on in their world! It's not too ridiculous (At least compared to the original plan I had for some buildings!) but it's still a little on the extravagant side!
It's not the way they deal with everything, but some situations it's just not a good idea for people to be above ground!
As that office worker explained, the city is kind of a hotspot for problems, ranging from raids, to giant monsters, to dragons running around turning things into cows! At some point, due to the frequency of incidents, work began on building an underground network to allow citizens to carry out relatively normal lives.
There are various ways of getting to the tunnels via the streets, so it's generally easy to access them in a hurry, they often get used for jobs that involve a lot of travel too (Mail and the like)
It also serves a second purpose of keeping prying eyes away from whatever is going on up above, which makes it a little easier for some characters to do their thing, should they need to.
In BGTE we've seen them living in a basement, and this is pretty much why (Other than Blake's cost cutting!) It actually connects to the tunnels, even has a yet-unseen front door! It'll probably come up over there too eventually, it's just here first!
