Bolk is as ever a coward, and Nabri unfortunately didn't really prepare for her dramatic leap into action being weak to cow beams! She kind of assumed she'd be able to dodge it, or at the very least that Bolk would be the first target!
I'm sure she'll get better though. Really she's just lucky Tan isn't eating any of her victims, right now she's more about creating cows rather than devouring (And she isn't really a fan of seafood anyway!)
Nabri also ends up retaining some of her normal features, like colouration, brow, etc. There's actually a few reasons for this, but I'll be getting to that soon-ish!
But, now that a hero has failed (and Bolk), what can possibly be done to stop Tan's rampage? Next time, got some other characters to be catching up with…
