And there's the end of the scene! May have been slower than I'd have liked, but we got there!
As I mentioned earlier, there's limits to how much energy Cian can absorb. That little trick he did may have let him use more, but it does come at a cost. Energy burn is actually just a standard part of his casting, but it scales. Using the tiniest amount, he'll barely feel it. Giant ball of ice, that's gonna hurt! He's just lucky most of what he deals with in his line of work doesn't need quite as much as a fully powered up dragon!

Deleting part of this note, just a frustrated depressed rant about the lack of interest here, don't really feel like keeping that up.
