140) Odd Attraction

There is an actual disorder or something like that behind this. It's called "gross." No, seriously, it's called "Genetic Sexual Attraction" and I think it may be fairly common. Basically, if two siblings or cousins or something are raised in separate locations and they meet much later, they have an odd attraction to each other based on the familiarity rather than anything else. The subtle genetic similarities provide a welcoming environment. Jonas' attraction to future Beatrix is based solely on GSA and not an actual attraction to her.

A good example of this is Star Wars. Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa had no clue that they were brother and sister and there was some attraction there between the two. Or Orson Scott Card's Speaker for the Dead series, two of the characters were half-brother and half-sister and they never knew it until they were about to get married. Though, it's not just siblings. In Back to the Future, Michael J. Fox's teenage mom was attracted to him and of course, she was oblivious to the fact that MJF's character was her son. Same concept here.

Yeah, anyway…I stopped it before it got worse than Luke and Leia.
