172) Repsecting Rachel

It may seem that Rachel and Erin don't get along, but this has nothing to do with the fact that Erin calls Rachel by her first name. If you go back and look at a strip or two after Erin hatched, she called Erin "Rachel" because when Sam was taking his turn warming her egg, he was watching a lot of Family Guy to pass the time and of course Stewie calls Lois by her first name and it occurred to Erin to do the same. (He did that even after Erin hatched, too.)

Erin jokes around a couple of times about being too macho or whatever to call Rachel "mom," but it has nothing to do with that, either. It became a bad habit that she never was able to fix.
