It's so weird how different young Erin and older Erin are, but of course, that's true with most people, I suppose. When the future Erin originally went back in time, there was a five year difference, now there's a six year difference. Our Erin sees the future Erin as a completely different person because she's never been in her place. All of this stuff is strange to her.

Once she gets in Future Erin's place, it'll all be just reliving memories from the other point of view.

Besides, after Erin's "Future Jonas" prank, Erin's a little iffy about her future self. She knows it's her, but that thought still nags at her. This is, by the way, a lot like the whole toothbrush thing she had last time her future self was staying with the Parritys.
