I've been looking forward to the Hunger Games movie since I read the books about a year or so ago and I was annoyed when people online started comparing the books to Twilight. I could understand the Battle Royale references because the two fall under the same genre. (It's like comparing two superhero movies.

But I really don't understand the comparison to Twilight except that they were both written for teens, but Hunger Games is darker, has a stronger female protagonist (though that's not saying much considering Bella "Damsel in Distress" Swan), and actually has a fairly good theme and meaning behind it.


I don't know…to me it's like comparing V for Vendetta with Twilight. It doesn't make any damn sense.


So yeah…I'm using Erin to voice my opinion…but I didn't want to get too preachy about it.


Anyway, I'm going to go see the movie later today and I'm going early while the teeny boppers are in school.
