This comic is my way of lampshading the whole thing before anyone can point it out. I'm not making social commentary…I'm just telling a story about dragons. If you derive one from the story, well…you're thinking too hard about a comic about dragons.
Also, the latter part of this arc has little to do with immigration issues.
And I had a cat sitting on my lap when I decided to include Ike. So the head raised thing was something I was able to model after my cat considering I was scratching her chin. The back, I had to Google 'cause she was laying down.
