My Dovahkiin looked like an Argonian version of Natasha in the first playthrough I did and Rachel in the second. I liked the Argonians because they breathe underwater and are immune to most poisons and illnesses. I played as something else in Oblivion and I got vampirism and accidentally let it progress and absolutely hated it. I reverted it back to a previous save state and made precautions against it when I redid the quest that gave me the vampirism. 
But unfortunately, I hadn't saved for a while, so I had to redo about an hours worth of game. (Oblivion taught me to save constantly and with multiple save files in an Elder Scrolls game.)
And as a result, I just played as an Argonian to avoid all the illnesses and such.
