I'm exhausted. Sorry if today's page is rough. I had big plans and even bigger interruptions today. So I don't think I quite did justice to it. I just going to try to press ahead with this.

This key has been seen before in the comic. But it was golden then. Xara in her evil times, gave it to Trista knowing it was no good. It had an evil enchantment on it that released the demon Rhea when Trista started to probe the key. Rhea tried to posses Trista but her human body was too weak and was destroyed by Rhea's fire. This initially made Xara happy but didn't do anything to bring Kyle any closer! Later, Arai captures Xara and uses a mirror to help Rhea attempt another possession. It works for a short while but Xara broke free because of her unique physiology. While possessed Xara was in Rhea's "prison" and found Trista. Trista was in a crystal cocoon. Returning with Kyle, Trista's ex, Xara tries to free Trista and we end up here.

I felt I had a unique opportunity to make something happen in the story and so I'm taking a rather abrupt plot twist. Sorry for the bumpy ride! ^_^;
