Well, given that Jackie was looking for a double suicide, I think Arai has her sorted out… for the moment. 
giovanni, picosux224: Basically Arai has been looking to possess Xara in order to harness her power, probably in some world dominating way. Tho' that's never been really established. Arai used the demon Rhea to posess and super charge Xara. But it didn't work out and Rhea was turned into a sprite by Xara. Since then Arai has been skulking around in the water puddle reflections giving Rhea orders for spying on Xara.
His latest plan should become clear in the following pages. It's a big bold plan and should explain a number of things about this place Xara lives.
