There haven't been a lot of dragons in this series, despite the name. There's a reason for that (I don't know if it's a good one). I wrote Chapter 16 first. THAT story arc, called "The Last Dragons," features dragons prominently. But there were so many other characters—including Araan the Cat—that I was having a hard time introducing them all meaningfully. So, I stepped back and wrote what I thought would be two short stories which I thought would serve to introduce all of the characters the reader would need to know for the story to start. These two short stories became the first nine chapters of the comic. Ooops.
But that's how things go.
