Fred has no talent for magic, so if fred is to participate in a magical battle, zie has to do it with a metaphor zie is comfortable with.

Dreamwalking is all about symbol and metaphor - but those symbols and metaphors are startlingly real, and can pack a loud, wet punch.

Still, fred probably regrets accidentally dickpunching Guardsman number one - almost as much as guardsman number one regrets the accidental provocation.
