Commentary: This has been completed for like a year now. I thank Michael, or for you out there, Ozone, so much for this. Like Jess/subcultured, he brings this wonderful quality in his art, his skill of coloring. It's amazing. I don't have the patience for something like that. I'm not entirely sure if I suggested to draw the cover first and he color it, but I know I wasn't confident in drawing such a powerful issue, let alone the cover. Ozone gladly accepted the offer, and even turned down money as I wanted to pay the guy. Amazing.
God, I love this cover. My guest covers are always amazing, beautiful and great.
Oh some of you private quacked me regarding the whole "deus ex machina" regarding Ashley. To note, while I would usually say yes, perhaps, but bringing Ashley back at the end of the story, once the story idea itself took-off, was always in place. While she can consitute as "the calvary" arriving last minute, as an act of god, this whole issue was condenced with ideas and scenes which were omitted to be used in other moments in other issues. Ashley will have her moment, Drew will have his, as well as Penny even, maybe. And Penny is dead! But I digress: point is, I didn't just have Ashley come back. If you can piece it together by re-reading some of the past few issues, then you rock. If you don't, I didn't pull a deus ex machina, just sit tight and bare with me. I promise, all will be explained, eventually. Imagine it's like LOST or Heroes, but…we're not on an island, or have super powers (not really, anyway.)
And now, the last chapter of the "Lord of the Sweaters".
