Critics’ Acclaim

All in all the plot development was strong, balanced well between building the reader’s understanding of events, characters and answers while creating new questions and complications to keep interest piqued.

It's clear that Amelius does care about plot development and keeping people aware of what's up given the huge amount of pages (www.drunkduck.com/Charby_the_Vampirate/5319672/), so it appears that it's a driving force of the comic and definitely something Amelius takes seriously.

It's actually really hard to choose, but I like the fact that Amelius devotes time to both development and ensuring that previous developments are remembered in the context of the comic itself, because it's that sort of thing that makes a larger and developing archive accessible to newer readers.

Simply Sarah and Koji Takahashi (Stops the World) tied for the top nomination by popular vote.
