Good sense humour. Quick wit. Fits the role of guy trying to be confident (at times) while in over his head very well. Overall, he's an enjoyable character to read with fun dialogue. 
 
Steve is genuinely fun to read. He is one of the more unique characters in terms of his species/situation but still the most easy to relate to.  He is witty and down-to-earth like someone you'd hang out with, one of your group of friends.  He has a good attitude and combats the drama of the situation with sarcasm.
