Critics Acclaim
 
The use of lighting had significant improvements.
Faces continue to gain more detail and personality as Vickie marches on.
 
It's just slicker and the colors, while not necessarily bolder, just seem to fit better, more refined.  And of course there's the style…  At this point, I get the impression the Artist is quite skilled and could truly render the figures in a much realistic manner than we see, if she so desired, but doing so would take from the very, very unique look that this long-running comic is known for.
