Critics’ Acclaim

PM probably has the most varied layouts. Every page is very different and pit-face makes good use of the space on the page.

PUTRID MEAT is the best example here of a comic that goes above and beyond with layouts, not only is the a great deal of variation of panel layout, but the gutters are also used and altered to change the way things work as well- overlaid, floating panels, gutters that blend in with the rest of the page or take shape from the art within them… They work to direct the flow and pace of the story as well as highlight drama and action in a professional manner that also comes off as highly artistic.
