Critics’ Acclaim

The act of forcing us to see a bunch of sex dolls as real people is quite disturbing, as the author intended. The dialogue flows well, and is quite witty. Art-wise, the cinematography, mise en scene, and art direction are strong.
The freightingly appropriate medium of using actual lifesized sex dolls to get this theme across is I think absolutely effective. With this and a few clever photoshop effects it manages to be both humourous and creepy as intended, as well as emotionally stirring in some of the shorts.
