Due East - Book Three Page 24

And so we conclude Book Three, our first full-color installment. I want to give special thanks to my wife (aka full_armor), Titan One and all of you who commented, rated or just visited these pages. You have all inspired helped in the production of the comic in different ways, and I am grateful.

This will be the only page this week. Starting next week, we will have once a week fan art, and you are gonna love these! :)

Okay, responses to comments on the previous page:

usedbooks: I agree. Honest, straight-forward conversations are the ones the hardest to get through but they can also accomplish the most.

Artwise, I am by no means settled on a preferred technique. I am sure I will be using variations of both the computer coloring and blended marker approach in the future.

ShinGen: Thanks. I'll look into those effects in Paint Shop and see what I dig up.

cameron11691: Thanks for the 5!

RabbitMaster: I like them, too. Thanks!

Tantz Aerine: I think this page will clarify exactly what Brielle was getting at. :) I'm glad you like the computer coloring.

kyupol: Thank you so much. Book One was a lot of "trial and error" and "see what works." We didn't get a lot of feedback early on but we're pretty tough self-critics and we kept aiming for improvement (and we still are). Keep at the English and I know you'll succeed in what you want to accomplish!

JustNoPoint: Well, what do you expect to get from a place called "Cheapskate Pizza?" Great deals for great prices – if you don't mind what you're getting (kind of like online discount travel, y'know?)

Thanks about the writing and coloring. I think PSP 9 does have dodge and burn but I'll have to play around with it some to get the hang of it.

Us – leave you in suspense?? Why, whatever would give you an idea like that? ;)

Priceman: I remember those days, too. I never stayed in a dorm but had friends who did. I'm glad you liked the page, too!

D0m: That really means a lot to me, thanks. And hey, you can always go back and read the archives! :)

SilverWordz: Welcome back, my friend! Yeah, Brielle continues her point on this page. She's a very interesting character to write.

Being so new to coloring, every page is an experiment. I do like the crispness of the colors, too, but I don't want to lose the "real" feel of earlier pages. So we'll see what happens… :)
