So today are auditions for OAP (one act play.) What's OAP, you ask? (Even if you didn't ask, I'll tell you anyway…) It's basically a huge competition for high school theatre in Texas. You've got to use a one act play, or cut down to one act…and you compete with people in you district, then your region, and eventually state. State's the big one, the numero uno…

Anyway, we're doing 'By the Bog of the Cats'…a sort of Irish version of Medea. I'm going out for the Medea character (name= Hester.) Why? I'm tired of being cast as the supporting or second-best character, damn it…I want a main one!
