I'm so glad wednesday is over. I've noticed a pattern here (though I might just be over-annalyzing) and have found that fewer comics update on sundays, and fewer people go through DTL on wednesdays. I've become ravenous for them now…with each 10+ page views, it's like a sort of confidense-booster/drug high…and I need more…I'm jonesing…baaaad.

I've found that one thing which motivates me to draw is playing something in the background at the same time (I used to have horror movie marathons, but almost all of my films are packed up right now…and all that I have at my disposal is my series set of Ranma 1/2…) So I've been watching nothing but Ranma 1/2 for the past week while I draw…I used to be freakishly fan-girl obsessed with anime and manga, but the interest has sort of died down as I've gotten older…and heh…discovered Bollywood as a replacement. But Ranma 1/2 will always stick with me as my favorite show. It was one of the first anime series I ever got interested in. I started watching it when Anime was really difficult to find (about 10 videos of various anime per rental store.) Every video I watched would advertise the Ranma OAV's, so I eventually sat down and watched the first video which I happened to find at a Blockbuster which was closing down. Needless to say, I was hooked. But I was also 12, and had little access to money…let alone a large source of anime. So I would spend weeks trying to scour the city for more videos (that's VHS tapes) of Ranma, because I just had to know what happened in episode three…

It's funny looking back on that frantic search for Anime videos. I think that's why I liked it…I enjoy hunting for films/shows that are hard to find. But now I've got the entire Ranma series, due to a person on EBAY selling out his anime collection…it was only 80 bucks, the entire dvd set…normally it runs for 140…He said it was in mint condition, but the box was shredded when I got it, and some of the discs in the later part of the series were scratched…this was from a guy with a 1000+ seller rating. When I tried to report it, his username was gone…and mind you, I'd gotten the item very late…so late in fact, that when it showed up, my history of having purchased the item was inaccessible. The only time I ever got screwed over on Ebay…but I got the discs with the scratches cleaned, and they work just fine. If only I could find a new box to hold them in…
