Azuu can get a little rough.

One of the real challenges I have with the series is keeping the demons from being too human. I'm sure you've all noticed that there is an inherent level of selfishness in even the nicest gesture by the demons. I came up with the idea almost by accident way back in #269 as just a gag about why Fraja's Dad gave a damn about what Fraja was doing with her life.

I think it helps, as writer, to set "rules" for the world one is writing for. It helps to keep the characters dynamic and believable within the context of the story, and doing so makes breaking or bending those rules later on seem more dramatic. I think most writers will agree that there are certain… characteristics one gives to one characters, whether intently or just as a natural result of writing that character for a period of time.
