#997 Youth: Missing Out

The other day I was regretting purchasing my PSP, because it ate up a lot of money, I don't use it much, and there are barely any games available for it that I'm even half-interested in. So I decided to look into this "homebrew" thing I've heard so much about. After a bit of tweaking to the system, I was up and ready play some roms of my favorite classic video games. Of course, I found out that, apparently, the PSP doesn't quite have the processing power necessary to run an snes game, and the game plays at about half-speed for no readily apparent reason. The only cure for this is to screw with the "skip frame" function, which skips frames of animation to speed things up. So, now I can play glitchy, jumpy versions of old games. Yay?

Ah well. Anyway, today's strip is cel-shaded, because I had some free time and was able to devote the time needed to put up clean cel shading. I really prefer the look of cel shading, and if I took the time to do it regularly I'm sure it would look better than my usual shading technique. Maybe I'll try for it over the summer…
