What the hell does that collar Martin wears do? Does it protect from vampire bites? Of course, I've never shown any vampires in the comic, but I guess the crossover with Charby implies that this occurs in a reality containing vampires, so I guess it could be good for that. At least the body armor you can understand. Either way, that collar looks like it fits pretty snug. It must be pretty uncomfortable. Like Mitch Hedburg, I have a very sensitive neck, and because of it I can't wear turtle necks ("It's like being strangled by a really weak guy. If you're wearing a turtle neck sweater and a backpack, it's like a weak midget trying to bring you down" - Mitch). I'd hate to wear that stupid collar thing, whatever it does.
