#1089 Game Time: Monopolizing

Hey gang, I'm sure you're all wondering about my totally awesome banner at the top of the page. After some very helpful suggestions and what I like to call an "assload" of donations, I've decided to make a serious push towards making some real money off my comic. I'm also afraid I might have low-balled myself in my projected goals, but that's neither here nor there.

Okay, so all ramblings aside, I want your money.

But I'm going to be nice about it. If you'll check the details here, you'll see all the cool bonuses and such that come with giving me money. Or alternatively, you could just keep reading the news posts.

Okay, to start with we have the "community goals". These are large numbers that, if I see that amount with dollar signs in front of it, activate special functions from me. Or more specifically, if I make five-hundred bucks by the end of the month, next month I'll update daily. I figure producing a comic a day in addition to my schoolwork is about on par with having a really fun after school job, and since my alternative to this is to find a job (y'know, when all my references are in another time zone), I like this idea a lot better. And just to sweeten the deal, if I manage to get the 500 by Next Frida, I'll start my daily updates immediately this month.

After that, there's an $800 goal which, if reached, gets you shading on those daily updates (good shading, too; especially now that I'm taking a Photoshop class). After that, there's a $1000 goal (which I'm not expecting to get anywhere close to, so I didn't even put it on the bar), and if we reach that I'll start a second series (updating on Sundays), probably about Izza (still kicking ideas around, just in case).

Okay, so that's all well and good, but what about you, the individual? Well, good news for you, sonny Jim, there's all kinds of bonuses for sending me your cash instead of blowing it on Hookers and Gummi Sharks like last week. First of all, $5 gets you access to an exclusive wallpaper each month (which I'm still designing, for those who have already sent in money), $25 gives you the option to appear in a walk-on role in a non-specific episode (note: you might get eaten by the DeathSnake so, y'know, wear a helmet), and $50 or more means you get all of the above, plus a personal sketch from me to you. Signed, dated, and I'll even spit on it so you can use my DNA to clone your own artist. You can keep him in the basement and feed him peanuts; I'm not allergic.

…or maybe I'll just stick with the "signed and dated" part.

So, that's the story, true believers. Uncle Inkmonkey wants your cash, but he's also willing to dance for it.

Dance, monkey, dance.
