I think that "When I'm Sixty-Four" by the Beatles is perhaps the most romantic song ever written. Most love songs are about passion and excitement, which is all well and good, but this song is about simply being with someone. Past the making love down by the fire, beyond the smootheness of skin, and surpassing a moment on the beach as the sun sets. It's a song about finding joy in life, no matter how simple, as long as it's shared with that one person. I'm sure we've all had a moment where we thought we would do anything for that special person in our lives, but how many of us can honestly say that there's someone they want to be with for the rest of our lives; when they stop being sexy, young, agile, or whatever "turns you on", and it's just you and them. Together. That's real love, and you can quote me on that.
