Well, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about the car. My first reaction was just to ask for enough money to fix the damn thing ($2000), but I honestly don't think I'll be able to get that much, even with outside help.

Actually, let me step back a bit for those who didn't see my message yesterday. My engine is completely shot. Apparently the overheating issues didn't just knock a few screws loose; it actually caused irreparable damage to many sensitive, key elements in the heart of my engine, rendering it essentially worthless. There is no chance of fixing it, and parts and labor to get it replaced will cost at least $2000 (and that's if I get lucky finding an engine). At this point the car itself isn't worth half that, and I'm basically SOL when it comes to going places. I'm not sure if I should encourage people to send in money (y'know, moreso than I already have), because at this point I'm not even sure if I intend to fix it.
