It's really quite disturbing when you think about it.

I always find it very satisfying to brush away the eraser dust from an inked page that started out very sketchy and finding exactly what I had set out to create. Sometimes I rush the pencils a bit and just figure I'll pick it up in the inks, which is a dangerous gamble to be sure. Plus, with all the pencil lines and such, it's hard to see for certain exactly how a page looks until you clear it all away.

That didn't happen with this page (I did the pencils fairly clean for this one), but another page I just finished made the thought come to mind.


All this discussion on Satan has been very interesting. I've wanted to contribute, but I think seeing my thoughts on Lucy might ruin the story, to a degree.
