Early pencils had the fish as more realistically proportioned, but in all honesty he was just a bit too creepy for what I was going for, so he was "subtly" changed to the form he now has. I'm having fun with the fishes sort of "corporeal" nature, and especially the fact that, as a sort of spiritual being, he can still move and acto as though he's underwater (otherwise his fins would just sort of dangle and probably be a lot less interesting).
