#1225 Spreading: The Announcement

Ah, poor Amy. She was so looking forward to being the interesting one for a change.

I've got a bit of a reputation at school now for eating odd stuff during lunch. Not too odd, but just to list them off: A few whole pies (apple and blueberry), many family-sized portions of Salad, a dozen donuts (though I admit I traded a few of them for a sandwich), the greater portion of a whole rotisserie chicken (they were on sale), and a variety of baguettes, french loaves, and just bags of rolls (you'd be surprised how cost-effective and filling a big hunk of bread is). I also found out that I saved money if I bought a 3 liter of soda and just drank from it sporadically over a whole week instead of buying individual drinks every day, so in addition to whatever I've managed to find on sale at the local grocery store I'm always seen with a comically oversized bottle of soda.

The hard part, really, is trying to figure out why I still only weigh 145 pounds. Though I admit these certainly aren't the most bizarre things someone could eat by any stretch of the imagination, but they still manage to get me a bit of attention during lunch. It's not really that I go out of my way to eat stuff that people find unusual as a lunch for a single person as it is that I just try and buy whatever will give me the most mass of ingestible material for the least amount of money.

And yes, my life is so uneventful at the moment that I don't have anything better to talk about than what I do for lunch.
