And here begins chapter 2, where we see El is in fact not the only orc in existence.* Huzzah!

In case you were wondering, Schulgrth isn't related to El in any way, though he has known her since she was a child. He only knew her father in passing, having met El later on through other circumstances. Hrulth is Schulgrth's nephew, Schulgrth's sister being Hrulth's mother, and works as an apprentice at his smithy. He and El are childhood friends, and we'll be seeing more of him as the story progresses.

*It occurs to me that's a little vague; Hrulth is an orc as well, and all the folks in the third panel and Schulgrth are ogres. Ha HA! Asterisks.
