So the story is, when I first met Rowan, she said something like, "Do you think people would be offended if someone were to write a comic wherein Mao is kissed and comes back to life a la Sleeping Beauty?"

And I said, "Do it."

So this may be considered a tip of the quill to her. Her other stuff can be found here. I'm not sure if the first Mao ones have been scanned or not.

This is the last of the China strips, sadly. I had a great time in Beijing, but starting Thursday we're back to the Big Ho.

XXX EHL: 17/12/2008: China syndrome is an idea that during a nuclear meltdown, the core of a plant could get so hot it would melt into the earth and fall all the way through to China. It's prevented by the fact that once the core reached the water table, it would cool sufficiently to stop melting rock.
