#243: Marching Orders

Today (yesterday, rather) we went to Claire's graduation. It was interesting to watch the University try to give the kids a good send off into rough economic seas. The optimism was a bit forced. And yet the basic idea, that dreams are worth pursuing and that regardless of how "practical" your major is, you should try to find something you really enjoy and make that your career, was worthwhile. It's something I've been not so good at so far. I guess I should fix that.

I still feel the vertigo from sitting in the nosebleed seats at the Kohl Center though. Good thing I had B to cling to…I was sure I was going to fall through three levels of seating to my doom. A difficult sensation to describe, and disconcerting to experience.
