#264: True Story

A true story, up slightly late, sorry about that.

I was a fan of opera at a young age and I have always enjoyed Gershwin's music. I was more interested in the jazz of the opera (and the hurricane in Act 2) than the actual content, though it turns out there has been quite a bit of racial controversy surrounding _Porgy and Bess_. I could see that (the dialect the characters speak/sing in is a bit…something. But "Summertime" is still one of my favorite arias…I wish wish wish I were a sorprano.
