#273: A Book in Hand

The comic is up late because B and I went to bed early last night so we could run a 10k this morning, and I'm just not so on top of things that I could get it up. So.

The 10k went well - it was a very small race, no chips or anything, but our finishing time was about 13 minutes off our last 10k time (this was back last November when B ran his first 10k ever). We banked some time on the first couple miles and averaged a solid 10 min/mile, which is pretty respectable. I mean, neither of us is going to win the 10,000 m in the Olympics any time soon (current record: 26:17.53) but for amateurs it was a pretty nice race all around. And they had ice cream bars at the finish, which didn't hurt.
