It's been a very long time, and I don't expect many of you to still be here, but I'm finally back to writing comics, and thought you all deserved a "final" update on Emma.
When I started Emma, I was 18 years old and had just started college. When I posted page 240 (the last page I completed) I had just moved across the country and started grad school. There was a lot of upheaval in my life at the time which continued through the next 3 years. I did not have the time nor the heart for comics, having become incredibly harsh on myself, my art, and my writing.
I am now 30. I have found something of a path for my life, things have been steady for some time, and I am happy. I've been encouraged (sometimes cajoled) and inspired to try again.
Emma, as it was, is for many reasons not a story I am interested in telling now. I have toyed with the idea of a revamp that may or may not materialize in the future. If it does, you'll be able to find it on my new account, Jenna Marie, along with whatever else I may work on in the future.
You'll see a new comic coming along there sometime in 2016. I'm pacing myself. :) -Miruku
