Endstone
Author notes
Issue 2: Page 4
repoman onOH NOES!!!!!! Will EndStone become the story of a simple deer from the forests of Pennsylvania who runs away to the big city to become a sexual slave???? Hmmmm…. that does sound like a cool plot. I wonder what Stan Lee would say about that? Please tune in next week to find out. I hope you all are not disappointed in the outcome. ; )
Comments on this page: Again we see the human/animal relationship in the Endstone world. My intent here is to parallel slavery. Obviously I've taken it to a dramatic extreme but that's what I'm going for. In case it's not clear, I'm saying that slavery is bad. Very bad. ; )
Also, there's a reason why the animals look human-like and it will be revealed… someday.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you next week.
Keep on keepin' on!
Comentary from last week:
@Otherjay - Not to give anything away since I think it's obvious from this page, but yes these guys would probably hunt Kyri if given the opportunity. And the fact that you'd like to "take a bite" out of "the rump roast" of one of my characters pleases me to no end. That's my goal artistically. : )
@Doctor Shadow - Cool. My wife thinks I'm crazy making all those sound effects out loud, though. ; )
@SoItBegins - Thanks for stopping by.
@harryq - I'm afraid to ask my grandpa!
@oldguy85 - Nope. No bids. Kyri's just on the menu.
@The Gravekeeper - Thanks for not being brutal in the comments either. : )
@khard12 - I think so. Just suffice to say, the food chain is a little askew in the Endstone world.
@TheMidge28 - LOL. Nope, I love my steak rare. When I designed this fantasy/sci fi world with the animals being very human-like, it just followed that pushing that premise to its dramatic conclusion involved the humans eating some of them. I have no personal moral message involved. I just like to pose questions. : )
@seanb47 - Thank you sir!
@machinehead - I take great pleasure in your discomfort. : )
@The New Number Two - Power Man! Yes I can see that. Must be 1970s influences coming through.
@Andaren - I tried being a veggie once also. I lasted all of two weeks, unfortunately. I think vegetarians make a good argument for that diet, but it's hard to put into practice. Plus, naturally, man does eat meat — just not in the tremendous quantities we eat today. So I'm on the fence.
@mattchee - I wasn't too sure if having the violence off camera would work or not. I have two reasons why I chose this shot 1. I am lazy. If I can get by with less drawing I will take it. 2. I'm not sure what violence level I want in this comic. I think things could stand to get bloodier. But that will come later hopefully when the drama of the story calls for it.
@Lautaro - Thanks. I dig your comic too.
@Hugo Maximo - Thanks for stopping by.
@theends - Thanks again.
@armandoB and @Crimsonskystudio - I appreciate your support.
@grobles63 - Yes! "Gamesters of Triskeleon"! You can't go wrong with a story about three, primary-colored brains in a glass case lording over gladiator matches. Awesome stuff!
