I guess we all get served a little bit of humble pie every now and then. Kyri might just be a legend in her own mind ; ).

Those names Kyri spouted off all have a history which will hopefully come to light as this current story progresses. I took a little bit of a gamble by starting this tale off in the middle but I thought the earlier narrative might provide a solid backstory and hopefully not be too confusing. It was my fumbling attempt to do what Lucas did with the original Star Wars. At least that was the idea.

And again, I wanted to thank all of you who voted for Endstone in the Drunk Duck awards. I was shocked and awed that Endstone was one of the final five in the "Best Fantasy Comic" category. The other four nominees are all excellent, long-running comics so I'm honored just to be included in such exceptional company. Thanks!

Comments from last week:

@oldguy85 - That's going to be Kyri's schtick actually: she never carries a weapon, always using her opponent's weapon or improvising with whatever is around.
@plymayer - I pronounce Kyri with the vowel sound like in "ear" and a long "e" at the end. But I guess it's open to interpretation.
@Juvenile Jay - Oh yeah.
@SoItBegins - Thanks for stoppin' by.
@kaiyaweird - Her reflexes are actually faster than a human's.
@Lemniskate - Masculine hands?!? LOL. Of course they are, they are my hands from reference! I'll watch that in the future. You ever see that Sienfeld episode about man hands?
@The New Number Two - This is the first time I've tried breaking the panels so I'm glad you like it.
@Doctor Shadow - Thank you sir.
@theends - Thanks again.
@I am Candyman - Thanks for stopping by.
@Jabali - I thought about having the sharp end of the ax land on his head but I thought it would establish Kyri as rather brutal and a hypocrite. She'll kill if and when the stakes are high.
@grobles63 - Thanks. I try to walk a fine line between fun and serious. I hope I don't fall over. ; )
@harryq - Oh she smote them for sure. (love that verb!)
@armandoB - Thanks for stopping by.
@The Gravekeeper - That's why I don't keep an ax around the house.
@TheMidge28 - Thanks for the crit. I originally storyboarded the fight sequence from only one camera (a style choice I regretted) but I changed it up a little in the drawing stage. I'll push it more next time like you suggest. Thanks. : )
@Crimsonskystudio - thanks again for you support.
@Andaren - Thanks!
@Khard12 - LOL. I forgot about that guy. I regret not bringing him back but I have to move the story along.
@istaerius - Thank you.
@machinehead - Yep, I'll bet he can. : )
@amanda - Thank you for all of your hard work on the DD Awards. It was very cool of you to make up those banners and distribute them. Kudos.
@Hugo Maximo - Thanks for stopping by.
@mattchee - Thanks and likewise!
@demontales - Thanks I appreciate that.
@DAJB - Thanks.
@Ben Ferrari - I'm all digital. I use Manga Studio and a Cintiq for the entire production although after this page I've started doing the rough pencils on bristol board just to get up from the damn computer.
@Harkovast - Thanks. I appreciate you dropping by.

That's all folks. See you next week and keep on keepin' on!
