The final page. Chapter 3 starts Tuesday

My Grandma says shopping for me is impossible because they don't know what I like any more. I never got shopping for Christmas in Auguest, since all the specials start in December.

So she takes me, Gold and Soul to the Parramatta shopping centre yesterday since Soul had a day off and Thursday was the beginning of optional attendance for Yr 12. Instinctively, my first choice was Borders. I was about to walk into the manga section, when she calls me to the young adult and tells me to pick something out

Here's the problem, these books give me no interest. I tell her this and she asks me which section. I point to the manga section. She looks at the selection and sees one titled 'Bastard!' and nearly has a fit. She drags me away and tells me to pick out something form the section I just said I didn't like. I ask why I can't get something from the book-to-movies table, since I was interested in Farenheit 451 (Haven't seen the movie). She said they were too advanced

Here's my problem. I have been able to read before I could talk, I am my grade's fasted reader and Young Adult just does not interest me. They all lack proper vocabulary and with a few you can predict the ending straight away. After explaining this, she says 'well, we'll move onto the next shop and find you something there'

No matter what I say, she only hears what she wants. She doesn't want me reading comics, I'm too old for that, but she doesn't like me reading 'big boys' books. It's the same with girls. She tries to set me up with these bimbos with jeans to tight you can see their g-string and tops that barely conceal their breasts. I don't like these sorts of girls, so she assumes I'm gay. I've had a girlfriend for three years now, and she thinks I'm gay and tries to get me to cheat on Eternity

Hell, my brother's married and she still doesn't get it. Right in front of his wife, she tells Daniel about all the girls she knows and she thinks he'd like and how easy it is to get them to put out. Though, oddly enough, if Soul wears a jacket and a top that shows a little cleavage (I make her do up the jacket at least most of the way) my grandmother will take her to her room, pull the jacket and top off, sometimes even her bra if she doesn't like it (Door wide open so we can all see. Especially embarrassing if friends are over) and go looking for something not as revealing. Hell, she once even stripped the girl naked while my friends were over.

Any one else have problematic Grandmother's like this? Go ahead, rant your brains out
