So I've been taking a look around at geekier fandom webcomics (Action figures, print comics, whatever) and I noticed the issue of how certain artists cut corners by, instead of creating their own characters, they trace the forms of people in catalogues and such when they need certain poses.
All in all, the issue is really laziness vs creativeness, but I see it in a different light. These artists have deadlines to meet or else they get bitched at. Yes, they trace, but it could be worse. The character could look like crap because of a rush job. Then there are the people just starting out. If they do enough tracing, then they'll know off by heart how proportions are meant to be.
Anyway, let's hear your views
PS No Rokas has not been tracing any of these pages. They've all been him.
